Homage To Mark K

North Park, April 2009
Mark of the JerseyStyle Photography blog posted a lovely image of a flower in a field yesterday, and he inspired me to go into my library and rescue one that, which not as nice as Mark’s at least is in the same flavor.
Quite a change of pace from the street work, but that’s the way it goes here sometimes.
Have a good day.

I love the sepia color you got there Chris. And the fluffiness of the cotton is great. Nice texture.
Well thanks, Chris! Glad my salvage job could give you some inspiration!
That’s a sweet lookiing image…the texture behind it (I’m assuming is long grass?) really enhances the overall image.
beautiful, but what type of flower is that? From the desert?
It was shot in a marsh near my house in Pittsburgh just a couple weeks ago. It had survived the winter. Peg knows what kind of flower it is, I’ll ask.
Yup, tall dry grass. Mark, your image (the b&w version) is just astounding. I’ll put up a link to it.
Thanks for commenting. How goes India?
Hi Chris,
After 6 months I am still reveling in the strangeness of it all. I still can’t get used to people standing to attention when I enter the room. Work is crazy busy but rewarding.
Thanks to your inspiration I am going to have a go at the SoFoBoMo too.
